NBC Universal Women Writers Workshop
The Women Writers Workshop gives emerging female screenwriters the opportunity to apply their treatment to a first feature length script draft. This three-evening workshop will prepare screenwriters for writing or improving a first draft of their scripts through discussion, feedback and study. At the end of the workshop, writers will have enough detailed feedback on key points to progress to the next stage of development.
Each evening will consist of interactive discussions of five treatments. Each session will build on the previous session so that, for example, development of character will be strongly related to the theme under exploration, while the structure will be determined by choices of action for the character which develop that character in the direction of the theme.
Registrants may also be interested in the Feature Film Writing Program.
