for Film and Dramatic Television Producers, Directors, and other Industry Professionals
(Intermediate Level)
The first Production Management for Producers sold out in record time. Due to overwhelming response, we are offering this three-part series again. Register early to avoid disappointment!
Production management requires exceptional organisational ability; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; an outstanding talent for anticipating, planning for, and managing the day-to-day challenges of production; and the expertise to do it all while staying on budget. If you are a producer or director interested in learning more about the nuts-and-bolts of project management, or an industry professional aspiring to fill a production manager's shoes, this three-part series is for you.
Over three sessions, through lectures and workshops, you will learn the basics of production management, including:
• the duties and responsibilities of the production manager, from pre-production through shooting to post;
• dealing with the paperwork essentials;
• keys to a successful assembly and management of the production team;
• payroll, POs, and other accounting demands;
• common crises and how to avoid them;
• planning strategies for challenging and demanding shoots;
• dealing with guilds and unions; and
• how to wrap your project.
This intensive course will include hands-on exercises and case studies taken from today's production industry.
Production Management for Producers is limited to working producers, directors, and industry professionals with a minimum of three years experience. Space is limited (maximum of 30 participants) so register today to avoid disappointment.
