2007 Deluxe Producers Internship
Winner: Lindy Jurado
Women in Film and Television - Toronto (WIFT-T) is pleased to announce Lindy Jurado as the winner of the 2007 Deluxe Producers Internship, presented in partnership with Deluxe.
Jurado is an emerging independent producer in Toronto. She helped create, develop and produce Inside Real Estate on Rogers Television and has worked on Street Eats on Sun TV. In 2006, she started her own production company, Serve Productions, and is currently developing and pitching several proposals to broadcasters with a focus on factual and children's programming. Born and raised in Toronto , Jurado graduated from Ryerson University with a Radio & Television degree and also has recently graduated from the Independent Television Producers Program at Centennial College.
The Deluxe Producers Internship provides one Canadian female producer with coveted hands-on experience and training by giving her the opportunity to join Deluxe as an intern to learn about production equipment planning and requirements and post-production video, film and sound. The successful applicant will spend a total of three weeks on site following an intensive training program. This year's internship takes place December 2007 through January 2008.
To complement the work experience, the intern will have access to WIFT-T programming, valued at $1,200, for one full year commencing with the internship.

While at Deluxe, the intern will spend three weeks learning about sound and picture post-production and will spend time in every department.
The award winner will receive the following:
• Three-week internship at Deluxe
• A $1,000 honorarium
• A WIFT-T programming pass valued at $1,200
Eligibility:
• Must be a WIFT-T member
• Applicants should be interested in film and television post production and equipment planning and requirements
• Must be an emerging Canadian producer with at least two years experience in the industry and not more than five years experience.
• Upon completion of the program, the award winner will provide a final report of the internship which WIFT-T will present to Deluxe.
• Must be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant or permanent resident

• C.V. including education and professional work experience
• Detailed outline of your objectives for participating in this program and why this opportunity is important to your career as a filmmaker
• Five (5) copies of all of the above information (unbound, no staples).

Application Process:
Fully completed application packages must be submitted to WIFT-T by Monday, November 5, 2007, 12 noon EST. Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of industry representatives.
