This panel will be helpful for professionals in film seeking to sell, or to gain assistance getting their independent films into the next phase of development.
With the Toronto International Film Festival just around the corner, many writers and producers will be seeking quality connections to help steer their projects in the right directions. Come join fellow WIFT-T members, acquisitions executives, publicists and Canada’s leading production executives for an exclusive panel and networking event. This panel will cover everything from pitching script ideas at a festival, to current trends on the international film production scene, as well as, the creative and financial resources necessary for moving a film into the next stage of development.

What should a writer or producer bring to a festival with them?
How does pitching a film to an executive producer differ from a pitching to a distributor?
What level of financing should be in place for a feature film before moving on to the next stage of development?
What creative and financial resources should a producer source from a festival/market at each phase of development?
