Trina McQueen

Trina McQueen is a veteran broadcaster and journalist who has held senior executive positions in public and private broadcasting. She has been vice-president of CBC News, President of the Discovery Channel and COO of CTV, Inc. Since her retirement in 2003, she has been Professor of Broadcast Management at Schulich School of Business and a member of the Board of Directors of CBC. She is also on the Boards of the Canadian Journalism Foundation, the Canadian Opera Company, Historica, and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. She has served on industry boards including the CAB, Telefilm Canada and the Canadian Television Fund. She is a former winner of the Crystal Award. In 2004, she was named an Officer of the Order of Canada. She has been elected to the Canadian News Hall of Fame and the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame.
