Anne Medina

Ann Medina is originally from New York City.

She was a Producer for NBC and then Network Correspondent and Documentary Producer for ABC News before marrying a Canadian. In 1975, she began reporting for Canadian Broadcasting Corp. doing topical documentaries in the Mideast and throughout the world. In 1983-4, she was the Beirut Bureau Chief. Her reports aired regularly on BBC and PBS and won numerous awards including an Emmy. She also moderated three Federal Election Debates. Currently, she hosts History Television's History on Film.

Ann is Past Chair of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, Past Chair of the Cultural Industries Council of Ontario, and has served on numerous boards. She also was on the Advisory Board for Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs. She has received five honorary degrees including one from the University of Toronto.
