Trina McQueen

Trina McQueen is a broadcaster and journalist who has held senior positions in public and private broadcasting. She retired in 2003 as President and Chief Operating Officer of CTV. Inc.

Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation; and the National Film Board advisory board. Her other board work includes the Canadian Journalism Foundation, the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, and the Canadian Opera Company. She is the CTV professor of Broadcast Management at Schulich School of Business.

Before CTV, Mrs. McQueen was the founding President of the Discovery Channel; and before that she was head of News, Current Affairs and Newsworld at CBC. She started her career as a television reporter.

Mrs. McQueen has been elected to the Canadian News Hall of Fame and the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame. She was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2005
